Humanity has always wondered what would cause the end of the world—whether it would come from the stars above or the seas below. No one could have anticipated the true cause of the apocalypse and the beginning of the end of life itself. Armageddon caused by a being so defenseless and harmless that billions, if not trillions, have been destroyed, burned, dismembered, and broken over millions of years of evolutionary history.

As this creature—one that moves with an unearthly flight through the ground and sky—wreaks havoc across the globe, a flight instructor and a botanist, two brothers whose lives are polar opposites, are forced to relocate and attempt to survive a threat that humanity was not prepared for. As the brothers strive to navigate a world upended and try to make it through hell itself, an incapable humanity fights a being so evolutionary evolved that no one thing can defeat it—and one so great and more numerous than the stars in the sky.
